Peaceboat
Gadigal Information Service paid host to the visiting Japan-based Peaceboat.
The 60th PEACE BOAT Sydney Programme offered tours such as those with Gadigal and Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, to Learn about Urban Indigenous Australians.
Peaceboat is a non-profit organisation that works to promote peace, human rights, equal and sustainable development and respect for the environment. Peaceboat seeks to create awareness and action based on effecting positive social and politcal change in the world.
We had a great time yarning-up, and Hip-Hop Artist MunkiMuk and staff Helen Anu shared songs in their languages.
Thanks Yuki Naito & Crew of Peaceboat! Seeyou on November!

Yabun 2008
Yabun, the annual event presented by Gadigal Information Services, home of Koori Radio 93.7fm, was back at Victoria Park again in 2008.
Yabun continued its growth into a festival and on Saturday 26th January there were some fantastic additions to the event. Scattered across the park were 8 large tents that provided information and activities. These tents focus on literature, politics, language and family histories, kids and youth, elders and visual art.
